Theology:
God, and the Love between a Man and a Woman (not directly regarding marriage, physyical aspects of love, dating/courting, or real life situations):
True love. I've figured it out about love. True love of humans is DANGEROUS. It can kill you easily. Murder your soul. Leave long, deep scars across your torso. Et cetera. Love can be compared to a cruel, merciless tragedy and this it often becomes in the minds of the victims. Two become "in love," firmly attached by soul and body, but of course, since they are by no means infallible, one of them (possibly both) will mar this, which can be done in as many ways as the number of times it has been done. Let's say the innocent will be true to the love. (I will use the pronoun "it.") It can only torment itself to make its love happy... or torment itself trying to make itself happy. It will have to fight its good common sense, perhaps its love, and definately itself. If the conditions don't let up, it will have to drive itself into a position in which Reality hurts it beyond sanity's allowance. Eventually it will hate itself and its love, and everything else while it's at it. That, or it gorges itself with evil and maybe another, conceivably worse relationship to forget everything. Yet the scars are there. Wasted. Pointless.
True love. Regarding TRUE love you cannot act only to make yourself happy. You can't even act only on account of your loved one's happiness. If you do either of these neither of you will be truly happy. There is only one way love between a man and a woman can be good. This is when Someone else is in the middle.

Ain't that great that I, a youngin only have to be worrying about my super COOL quotes hAha "Every piece of your heart that you give to someone is one less for God and your future spouse. Stay pure for your One True Love!" Ok not a youngin now :( I miss the OLD DAYS. Well... if you've bothered yourself to read all the way down to here I guess I'll let out a techie quote: "Working with Unix is like wrestling a worthy opponent. Working with windows is like attacking a small whining child who is carrying a .38." Oh and here's an inspirational one I liked: "If a man is called to be a streetsweeper, he should sweep streets even as Michelangelo painted, or Beethoven played music, or Shakespeare wrote poetry. He should sweep streets so well that all the hosts of heaven and earth will pause to say, here lived a great streetsweeper who did his job well."-Martin Luther King, Jr. ...Ahhhhhhhh I love good quotes.
| Haha xD was just playing around with codes... contrary to what I thought before, almost anything is possible with xanga... of course the non-open source-ness still is a pain... Well its final. I'm moving the site to Turbzy's place~ because I'm sick of waiting for emails that most likely will never come :0. And I'm happy. For now. I don't remember half the people I've given my url to. But yeah. I've already drained 250 MB bandwidth from him... weee must be that 40 MB age of kings opening cinematic I uploaded from the cd? XDDD *shakez his hand ahaha* yay he's nice. I'm outti as soon as pitas.com wakes up. =P I think I'll compile my theology writings there too.
Theology: God, Love, and Nicoló Machiavelli. An aspect that is very interesting to me is Love compared to Fear. If you've read the works of that great though cynical renaissance italian thinker you know that it is better [for a leader] to be feared than to be loved, for men being innately selfish will fail you concerning love on account of their own gain, but fear you can rely on. [Or so he claims.] I guess I wasn't paying much attention to this [I was starting to get severely biased against him] but when my eng teacher [or somebody in the class] brought up the case of your parents, well, that was intriguing. Often [bear with me haha] a child fears his father and loves his mother. Example: When a child is getting out of hand, mothers sometimes say something like, "Just wait till your father comes home." Yet when in distress it is the mother for whom the child cries out. ANYWAYS. I'm reflecting on how important it is to fear God as well as to love and know Him [they are different things yes]. If you truly -fear- God, you will fear sinning to the point that you will refuse to sin though your flesh wants to badly. If you truly -love- God, you will give up your life for Him. If you truly -worship- God, He will be with you. Another thing, the holy fear of God is more than reverence. It's continuously knowing that He and His judgements are real... that He really does know every act, word, and thought that you generate... that He is watching... and the attitude that comes from truly knowing all this.
1. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. 2. Today you have been granted the great power of influence and you can either use it for evil or for good. Choose carefully...
| More than would be polite to exhibit freely, I find relief at the loss of the Cubs. At most the whole issue was "cute," but going too far can't be excused with a what-a-culture-we-live-in laugh nor can blasphemy be tolerated; I am thinking of specific incidents, none which involve anyone who would be reading this. Now, before I go off on an obscure and irrevelant tangent regarding culture... um...
It's like... "Whoa! Meeeow!" ...Ahhhaha it's almost kinda fun having a weird lil temporary blog that few read... the sitey needs to come back though v_V;;. pSATs this morning, met my public school friends there which was nice! The rest isn't important. Le Nozze di (the marriage of) Figaro last night! Made me kinda woozed for psats but YEAH FOR OPERAS! People, you just don't know till you experience them. They are grand... WOMEN, marry a guy who'll take you to OPERAS! *koff* -^___________^- *erhem*
Theology: God and Love Part Two. So besides the obvious keeping God's commands thing, there's also the worship factor. As reported, the greats of faith were all very close to God in this area, and the two parts of Christianity, it has been said, are worship and [then] service. Worshipping, not the kind you apply to your whole life, is something that is specific and takes time. Show it by going into the prayer closet, praise Him. If you really get down and seriously pray to God, you'll find that you won't run out of things to say.
| Kristi lent me 4 CDs of pure Bach Well Tempered Claviers, goodness to the goo-gle-leth power; what else can spin the mind up into working order and refresh one's phsyche like that? Ah music is so powerful, I'm convinced that even without lyrics, it affects you either for good or for evil. Turn your speakers up and listen to this; it's Bach, the one who wrote "soli Deo gloria"--all glory to God alone, to remind himself as he composed. *Sniff* God is so wonderful, there are some people I love so so so much right now, they are angels to me.
May the loss of Innocence, which never returns, come late and tarry thither, in the depths of broken whims and dreams unseen. In its single clear glass, which once smudged is clean nevermore, life and love abound; kept naught but God and soulmate for.
[edit] ah it didn't make sense. Anyways that that ^ was inspired by this guy's autobiography/credo I was reading, sad stuff.
Theology: Love, true love, what is love? I'm gonna start a series, Love and the Implications Thereof. Love and God: Loving God is keeping His commands, as it is writen; it's just simple as love is (and just as complicated). Ok that was easy, next time I'll go further. May God be the Light on your path today.
